What we collect

• Scans, imports, and edits you perform (stored on-device by default; synced only if you enable cloud backup).
• Account data: email, subscription status, and basic profile settings.
• Sign-in requirement: some features (e.g., cloud sync, shared devices, premium OCR/AI/Conversion) require you to sign in so we can verify eligibility and apply your subscription.
• Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data to maintain service quality.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) and coarse device info for ad-supported experiences.

How we use data

• Operate features: scanning, AI contour detection, OCR, PDF tools, conversion, and sync.
• Personalize and serve ads (ads are removed for subscribers).
• Process payments/subscriptions and manage watermark removal and premium capabilities.
• Improve quality via aggregated analytics and crash diagnostics.

Ads and subscriptions

• The app is ad-supported. Ads may use the device advertising ID and coarse device data; you can limit ad tracking in system settings.
• Subscriptions remove ads and watermarks and unlock premium features like OCR, AI contour detection, format conversion, and certain cloud or collaboration tools. Sign-in is required to apply your subscription across devices.
• Payment is processed by Apple/Google; we do not store full payment details.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Limited sharing occurs with:

• Cloud providers when you enable sync/backup.
• Payment processors for subscriptions.
• Ad networks/measurement partners for the ad-supported experience.
• Analytics/crash reporting to maintain stability.

Permissions

Camera and Photos/Storage are used only for scanning/importing. Notifications are optional. Biometrics (if enabled) protect access to the app or protected documents.

Retention & deletion

Scans stay on-device unless you enable cloud sync. You can delete documents, OCR outputs, and backups at any time. Account data is kept while your account remains active or as required by law. Request deletion via support@docu-organizer.com.

Your rights

Where applicable (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. You can opt out of ad personalization in your device settings and within the app where provided.

Children

Doc Scanner is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International transfers

If data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where required.
